Our client in the Engineering industry is currently looking for a Candidate to join their team.

Summary Description of the Scope of Work 

• Oversee - inspect and report damage on the building and structure
• Inform Landlord - allocate support to keep interior and exterior light in full working condition at all times
• Follow up on repair and ensure compliance to Regulations
• External Auxiliary Equipment (Engineering Team)
• Service / Support external plant equipment - this includes :
• Bailer / Shreader & Pivab rewinder and Starch Kitchen Equipment
• Service on weekly basis - applier repairs and maintenance based on history and wear on machine
• Weekly inspections and repairs to be planned for part change over and replacements
• Service / Support plant equipment - from Wet end to Dry end including Strapping machine and Pallet loader conveyor
• Random inspections during Maintenance to ensure compliance to Shut schedules
• Random line walks to inspect machine during operations / ensuring maximum up time and to address issues with Operators if raised
• Interaction with Maintenance shut plan - time allocation and labour allocation
• 24Hr Support to the plant - Remote advise or personal interacting with all Engineering team members
• Service/Support plant equipment- All Converting Machines including waste Bailer & Compressors and waste water system
• Random inspections during Maintenance to ensure compliance to Shut schedules
• Random line walks to inspect machine during operations / ensuring maximum up time and to address issues with Operators if raised
• Interaction with Maintenance shut plan - time allocation and labour allocation
• 24Hr Support to the plant - Remote advise or personal interacting with all Engineering team members
• When the Corrugator is started up or Prior - to assist and support the start-up of the Corrugator line - apply repairs and support where needed
• Ensure support for this Corrugator utilizing Eng. Staff on site to Support Boiler and Extra Compressor that will be brought into service

Stock control/Part ordering and Approvals 

• Actively Control and Help manage the Engineering Stock for Critical and Consumable stock
• Inspect and Approve all Engineering Cost related to company
• Ensure Month end Stock count is done and submitted - GL allocations done and cross checked with PO's approved
• Actively Manage Engineering tooling - and Housekeeping of the workshop
• Assist Buyer with getting in quotes and speedy delivery for items needed

Health & Safety 

• Actively Help Manage and support All H&S related matters - to be appointed as 16.2.1
• Ensure Plant compliance with Safety officer
• Ensure and support the use of PPE by all staff
• Connect with Safety Wallet - Drive compliance from Report - Apply recommendations to correct findings
• Connect with ASIB - Drive compliance from Report - Apply recommendations to correct findings
